Welcome to Nourished Lactation Care

Lactation & Infant Feeding Support

Snohomish & King Counties

We’ve grown — which means more ways to support you and your baby.

NEW OFFICE LOCATION

Our new Snohomish office was designed with you (and your tiny entourage) in mind. It’s calm, cozy, and full of the little things that make a big difference — coffee, snacks, soft lighting, and toys for curious siblings who come along for the ride. You’ll have a private, dedicated space for feeding assessments, weighted feeds, pumping help, or just catching your breath while we work through whatever’s coming up for you. We’ve intentionally made it a place that feels more like a living room than a clinic — because you deserve support that feels human, not clinical.

Home Visits

We still offer the same trusted in-home care that helped Nourished become known and loved in our community.

Home visits are available throughout Snohomish and King Counties, bringing compassionate, evidence-based feeding support right to your living room. We know how powerful it can be to receive care in your own space — no packing the diaper bag, no rushing out the door, no stress.

It’s the same personalized, family-centered approach that built our reputation — just now paired with a beautiful new office for when you do want to get out of the house.

Retail Hub

We carry a full range of flanges in multiple shapes and sizes (because no, not everyone is a 24 mm — let’s end that myth once and for all). You’ll also find IBCLC-approved feeding tools, carefully chosen to make feeding easier, more comfortable, and a little less overwhelming.

Whether you’re troubleshooting your pump setup, upgrading your supplies, or just want to browse between feedings, this is a judgment-free zone where you can ask questions, get sized for flanges by a pro, and feel confident about what you’re taking home.

“I felt so hopeless before meeting Amanda. My 5 month old suddenly decided he didn't want bottles or feedings out in public and she helped us through it all. Her initial assessment was very thorough and she is so empathetic and understanding it made it easy to open up and share all of baby's issues. She gave us practical exercises and recommended a bottle based on my baby's mouth anatomy and within a week I was giving my baby a bottle. Total game changer for my mental health and baby's nourishment. We are so grateful to have found her!”

“We cannot speak highly enough of our experience with Amanda Riensche. As parents of three, we’ve worked with two other lactation consultants in the past, but none compare to her. She is truly in a league of her own—patient, kind, knowledgeable, and incredibly professional.

From the very first appointment, she went above and beyond to support our breastfeeding journey. She helped us determine the correct flange size, guided us in choosing the right breast pump, and gave us expert advice on using nipple shields. She even provided us with a bottle that was best suited for our baby’s mouth, something we had never been offered before.

Her holistic approach included referring us to a pediatric dentist for our son's mouth tie release and connecting us with a craniosacral therapist, both of which significantly improved his feeding abilities. These referrals were instrumental.

What truly sets her apart is her availability and dedication. Over the two months we’ve worked with her, she’s been there for us through texts and appointments whenever we needed help. She takes her time during visits, listens with empathy, and always provides detailed and thoughtful after-visit summaries.

I could go on and on but I'll end with this -My husband and I both agree—she is the most helpful and supportive professional we’ve ever encountered in the medical field. Her guidance has been an indispensable part of our family’s journey, and we’re endlessly grateful for her care.”

“Amanda came highly recommended to me and it’s easy to see why. She was able to help our baby, who had been refusing to take a bottle, successfully take bottles before I returned to work. It gave me such peace of mind knowing I had a plan tailored to my baby specifically and that Amanda was available for support along the way. I recommend working with Amanda for all of your lactation needs!”

“Amanda is such a blessing! Her compassion, kindness, knowledge, & practical, easily applicable advice impressed us deeply from our first appointment & continues to help us as we’ve worked on our LO’s latch issues. Literally saved our sanity, my husband & I refer to her as “the lactation angel” 💕Couldn’t recommend her highly enough!”

“As a first time Mom, the help I received from Amanda was invaluable to our breastfeeding journey. The first two days after my daughter was born were so hard because she couldn’t latch properly. Amanda helped diagnose a lip and tongue tie for my daughter and helped us find the right care provider to get her frenectomy done. She continued to follow up with us and was so attentive and supportive to our needs. She taught me how to pump and was always checking in with me about what my goals were for feeding. Her kindness in those first couple days after I gave birth are something I will forever be touched by. I highly recommend Nourished Lactation as soon as possible to get you started on the right foot with your baby on your feeding journey.”

“Nourished Lactation Care was everything I could have wished for and more when it came to support on my breastfeeding journey. Amanda was exceedingly knowledgeable and supportive as we worked through our baby’s tongue and lip tie; throughout our time working together Amanda’s gentle care and genuine interest in our baby’s well-being were always apparent. I’m happy to say we now have a thriving and well-nourished baby, thank you so much!!”

“Amanda is simply amazing. I cannot thank her enough. She is easy to connect with and I felt comfortable just texting and reaching out with any questions or concerns. Amanda taught me things and brought things to my attention I never would have thought of or known otherwise. She is so knowledgeable. She taught me about the proper bottle and bottle nipple sizes we needed and different ways to get our baby girl to latch. She taught us about our baby’s mouth! She was supportive and gave me hope for my breastfeeding journey when it felt really tough. Thanks to Amanda me and my baby girl have achieved our goal of breastfeeding whenever and wherever and I have been able to donate milk like I’ve wanted to! For a first time mom and no matter what number baby you are on I would highly recommend Amanda if you need any sort of assistance OR just want to gain knowledge and make life easier! Thanks Amanda for being there and for doing such an amazing job :)”

“I had the best experience with Amanda. I couldn't have asked for a more supportive person. She made sure I had all my questions answered and was so full of information to support me and my son being able to latch and bond. She never gave up even when things got difficult. She truly cares for her patients; when my son my admitted to Children's Hospital for a week she even messaged to make sure everything was going okay and offered her support. She doesn't pressure into doing things you aren't comfortable with which was absolutely amazing. She'll provide you with her expert advice but let you decide if it's something you want to move forward on and work with you goals. If I have more children in the future she will be the first person I call for support.”

“I cannot recommend Amanda enough! She was the best supporter and teacher. Her business model is professional and detailed while also making you and your baby feel prioritized and cared for. I came to Amanda hopeless and uneducated on most of the breastfeeding process. Now we are exclusively breastfeeding! I look forward to telling future mamas about her services.”

“I honestly cannot speak highly enough of Amanda. If you are seeking care from an IBCLC, I recommend you make an appointment with her ASAP!

She has helped me navigate through one of the most challenging times in my entire life when it came to my breastfeeding journey. Amanda is knowledgeable, kind, compassionate, and truly goes above and beyond to help her patients. You can tell she genuinely cares about the success of her patients and supporting them however they need. You won’t be disappointed in the service and care that Amanda provides and I am so thankful to have found her.”

“I cannot say enough great things about Nourished Lactation Care & Amanda! If you are in need of lactation services, look no further. Amanda was beyond dedicated to helping me address all my lactation questions/concerns at the home visit that we had together. She was so friendly, making me feel comfortable during such a tough transitional time postpartum. She came with so much knowledge and positivity, that no question was left unanswered. She helped me with my latch issues, did a full oral exam on baby, answered all my endless questions and even showed me how to set up & use my pump. Her experience really showed, and she also was able to give great recommendations for additional services beyond hers where needed. Beyond our appointment, she also answered my endless questions over text message in the weeks following which gave me so much additional support through my breastfeeding journey. I cannot thank Amanda enough and will use her again for all future lactation support!”

“Meeting with Amanda was hands down the best experience. She was incredibly knowledgeable, supportive, and caring towards me and my goals for breastfeeding. It has been a night and day difference with breastfeeding after seeing her and if I can encourage other new mamas out there, go see Amanda if you’re struggling. You’ll be in the best care!”
